MODULE III – Acute Respiratory Failure
VIDEO
This 30 minute training video
provides you with the training required to identify and treat acute respiratory
failure caused by either hypoxemia or hypercapnia. Additional topics addressed
include respiratory pathopathology, assessment of acute respiratory failure,
including danger signs and symptoms. Also covered are techniques for obtaining
arterial blood gas measurements, performing the Allen’s test, assisting with
intubation, and verifying endotracheal tube placement.
MODULE IV – Emergency Airway Problems
VIDEO
This 30 minute video shows
nurses how to recognize signs and symptoms of emergency airway problems and
learn to understand their causes. Also shown are how to recognize patients at
risk, assess partial airway blockage in conscious and unconscious patients,
